Alumafiesta in Tucson takes place in the height of the “snowbird” season, when the skies are sunny and the air is warm in the desert southwest.
Once again we’ll be staying at the luxurious Tucson/Lazydays KOA Campground, with full hookups (including cable TV and wi-fi), and first-class facilities, from January 24 through February 1, 2015. This park offers the very best RV accommodations that Tucson has to offer, with citrus trees at your campsite, cable TV, two swimming pools, an on-site restaurant, and indoor event center. It’s close to I-10 and all the major attractions of Tucson, including downtown.
Best of all, we’ll be ideally positioned to visit the world-famous Tucson Gem and Mineral Show! Over 40 separate gem, mineral, fossil, and craft venues take over the city of Tucson starting February 1, 2015. (see map | see list). Normally it’s just about impossible to get a decent RV site anywhere in Tucson this time of year—but you’ll have no trouble booking your five-night stay at Alumafiesta. Extra nights at the campground can be booked when you make your reservation for Alumafiesta.
The preliminary agenda includes two full catered breakfasts, dinner on Saturday night, daily seminars on local topics, daily escorted tours and excursions (some optional at extra cost), daily Happy Hours with door prizes, restaurant discounts, on-site vendors, and entertainment!
Each morning we’ll help you plan your day. Start with yoga every morning, and on two days a hot breakfast. Will you join us on a variety of special excursions to beautiful natural and cultural sites? In the evenings we’ll have local speakers to talk about southwestern topics. Or, you might decide to just go for a swim, hike, or bike ride. Whatever you decide to do, we can guarantee one thing: you won’t be shoveling snow!
Space is limited, so don’t delay in registering. Two adults and a campsite are just $465 for the all-inclusive program including five nights premium camping, meals, seminars, door prizes, most tours (some tours and lunches are extra cost) and entertainment. Or you can book your own campsite and attend for $120 per adult ($55 for kids), with all the same privileges of regular attendees for the entire week.
